by Charles Chaplin
Charlie, a family man, takes his wife and two small sons for a day’s outing, which is beset by accidents. In their model-T Ford they encounter angry motorists, hostile cops and a newly tarred road. They embark on a pleasure boat where the hazards include sea-sickness, a jealous husband, and a recalcitrant folding deck-chair. The party struggle home, in their smoking car, at “The end of a Perfect Day”.
